@stan.miathe scene where waverly finally stands up to her dad in the barn and says 'i'm not your little girl anymore' , that's when she became the heart of the show for me. dominique played that transformation so quietly but you could see every ounce of pain and strength in her eyes. wayhaught fans still talk about it because it wasn't just a love story, it was waverly finding herself. that's why she deserves this award over anyone else.
