Switzerland's complete history at the FIFA World Cup, from 1930 to 1982. They finished 7th in 1934 and 1938, reached the quarterfinals in 1954 (8th place), and placed 6th in 1950. After 16th-place finishes in 1962 and 1966, they failed to qualify for the next four tournaments: 1970, 1974, 1978, and 1982.
