The Minions franchise has knocked Toy Story 5 out of first place at the domestic box office. Minions & Monsters earned a solid $14.2 million on its Wednesday opening day. While that's a respectable number for an animated film launching midweek, it's also the lowest opening day in the series' history and a significant drop from Despicable Me 4's $27.2 million Wednesday debut.
