India is testing plastic banknotes for ₹10 (about $0.10) and ₹20 (about $0.20) denominations, aiming to eventually transition all currency to polymer notes. These plastic bills are more resistant to counterfeiting, more durable, and can last up to five times longer than conventional paper currency.
