Corinthians president Osmar Stábile is reportedly regretting his decision to unilaterally stop Memphis Depay's renewal. He wanted to avoid a medium-term financial crisis, but the move may have created an immediate problem instead. Depay could take the case to FIFA, claiming unpaid money and demanding payment right away. He would also try to prove he had a signed and legalized two-year renewal, and if he succeeds, Corinthians could be forced to pay 100% of what was agreed.
