Regardless, the Secret Service avoided taking risks. Trump quietly switched aircraft in Ankara. He was driven across the airport tarmac inside a catering truck before boarding a military jet for Britain, accompanied by F-16s. Some U.S. intelligence officials suspect Israel shared the warning partly to shape Trump’s views on Iran and Turkey, rather than solely for his protection.
