The idea that Manchester City was ready to drop €100 MILLION for Cody Gakpo feels wild enough on its own, but the fact that Liverpool turned it down is where things get truly insane. We are talking about a player who is competitive and useful, sure, yet far from being world-class, and by some counts not even the best footballer in the squad anyway. So they let go of €100 MILLION without blinking. It makes you wonder if Liverpool will ever see an offer this high again for Gakpo, and honestly I doubt it a lot.
