Focus Features picked up the rights to Obsession for $16.2 million after the Toronto International Film Festival, but executive producer Leonora Ann Darby is taking legal action against the production company over that transaction. The lawsuit centers on claims that she was excluded from profits that were promised to her despite stepping in to save the project. Darby states she organized reshoots to fix problems within the film and helped get it ready for its scheduled screening at the festival. She facilitated these changes to resolve issues before the acquisition happened by Focus Features. #Obsession #FocusFeatures
