Raven-Symoné's old interview is circling again, and honestly, hearing her break down why Raven Baxter didn't fully read as Black to her is a lot. She told the host to strip away the race entirely and just make the character green, since the writers behind the scenes were white. And it's not like the show ignored race, there were storylines where Raven dealt with racism head-on, which makes her point land even harder.
