The firing of Melissa Barrera by Spyglass is what Matthew Lillard points to when he calls his own SCREAM 7 comeback a mistake. Barrera was let go after she spoke out about the genocide in Palestine, and in his eyes she is on the right side of history. His verdict on himself is the opposite: embarrassed, wrong side of history, a call he blew. He even called the whole thing really fucking bullshit. What he does not deny is that he still likes being in the movie. Whether coming back was the best idea is another question he leaves hanging.
