Watching the Tshisekedi digital war play out is equal parts ridiculous and counterproductive. Folks who were Tshisedists, who swallowed those unverified claims about retaking Goma, are stuck regretting the time they burned backing Felix Tshisekedi. The realization landing for plenty of them is simple: he has never won an election in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Millions of dollars went into a campaign built on deception, and the forces aligned with him still cannot take the upper hand against the AFC-M23.
