New developments now out of Virginia State University where five people have been shot outside of the university's residence halls. Officials there say all of those victims are now being treated at local hospitals and the school's lockdown protocols have now been lifted. ABC investigative reporter Olivia Rubin has the latest on what we know at this hour. Olivia. Officials say that this shooting unfolded around 1.30 in the morning. specifically. They said it occurred in the quad area of the campus, saying that when law enforcement responded to the scene, they found five individuals suffering from gunshot wounds outside of the university residences. Specifically, when it comes to those individuals, they say that four suffered non-life-threatening injuries. They're being treated at the hospital, but that one of those individuals is in critical condition. Though the lockdown has now been lifted, it was lifted around about 830 in the morning. That's when they said the sort of all clear was given. They are reminding people to please remain vigilant because there is still law enforcement activity going on underway. They are processing the scene there and there is increased increased law enforcement presence around campus. As far as arrest goes so far, there's been no announcement made that they do say that there are a number of different law enforcement agencies that are responding, working the scene and likely undergoing a very active investigation right now.
