Thai schools active shooter drills

It is heartbreaking that Thai students are now required to practice active shooter drills. This response follows a deadly incident earlier this month on the outskirts of Bangkok. A 14-year-old boy killed his grandparents at their home before opening fire at a school. Several additional victims died before the teenager ended his own life. Schools have introduced "run, hide, fight" training to better prepare children if such violence occurs again. Al Jazeera reports on these new safety measures. The reality that kids must learn these survival tactics in class is simply sad.
