Lil Durk iPhone warrant encryption
Lil Durk turned off his iPhone before the feds could search it with a warrant, and apparently that was the smart move. Turning the device down keeps encryption keys more secure than unlocking it multiple times or using face ID when the screen is dead. Because of that, agents couldn't access all the data on the phone. They did manage to recover some pictures though, including screenshots of Lil Tim's address and screenshots of Quando Rondo. The recovered images suggested Lil Durk was trying to track Quando Rondo and Lil Tim. This strategy of shutting down the device was new info for the creator at KICK.COM/AKADEMIKS.

and apparently what Dirk does, he does something smart. He could tell, Dirk tells him, no, you can't see my phone, but Dirk says, I got nothing to hide. Dirk locks his phone. He turns it off, and this was new to me. When you turn it off, right, you know when your face ID don't work at first, you got to put whatever? Apparently, there's encryption keys that when your phone just turns on, it's better protection than when you put your password in a couple times. So Dirk turns his phone off. They get a warrant, but they can't get into his phone because he had shut it off. And that becomes the subject of this thing where they can't really get everything they want off the phone. But they do recover some pictures, and apparently the pictures that they recover was Dirk having screenshots of Lil Tim, where his address is, screenshots of Quando Rondo shows, and basically it was showing how obsessed Dirk was with trying to track Quando Rondo and Lil Tim.
