Tim Curry auditioned for Marv in Home Alone (1990) and got the boot, yet he still landed the Plaza concierge role in Home Alone 2 (1992). He remembers working with Macaulay Culkin with genuine warmth, especially since Chris Columbus was apparently the only person who ever bought his albums before they met. Nobody else had purchased any of them. The kid used to stay up watching late-night movies and fall asleep in the makeup chair.
