so the us is out here with self-driving cars everywhere and tesla's cab finally rolling out, while the eu just banned wrapping food in newspapers. decades of that practice, gone because the ink might leak into your lunch. the regulators really cracked down on a problem that's been bugging people for centuries. but the funny part? now the stands are switching to plastic bags instead. way to solve it, guys.

Jahrzehntelang haben die Stände ihre Lebensmittel teils in Zeitungspapier eingepackt. Aber damit ist jetzt Schluss. Laut einer EU-Hygienevorschrift dürfen die Lebensmittel nicht mehr so eingepackt werden, weil die Druckfarbe die Lebensmittel verunreinigen könnte. Als Alternative benutzen die Stände jetzt mehr Plastiktüten.
