Aaron Rourke commands a devoted following defined by his historic status as the first openly gay wrestler to hold a WWE championship, a milestone achieved in March 2026 that resonated deeply within LGBTQ+ communities and wrestling circles alike. His flamboyant persona, characterized by glitter, bold makeup, and the moniker Evil Gay, has cultivated a dedicated audience that celebrates his unapologetic confidence and barrier-breaking presence. Despite this high-profile visibility and an active social media footprint with thousands of followers, no formal or organized fandom name has emerged to unify his supporters. The community remains a general wrestling viewership rather than a distinct, mobilized collective with specific rituals, named chapters, or documented campaigns such as birthday billboards or charity drives. While he is frequently cited in major coverage for his cultural impact and identity, the absence of a structured fanbase suggests his popularity exists primarily through individual engagement with his matches and media appearances rather than through a centralized movement. His recent title defenses against top-tier talent like Tristan Angels and Max Abrams have further cemented his standing as a central figure in the Evolve brand narrative. Although his rise from independent promotions to WWE stardom is well-documented, the lack of a specific collective identifier distinguishes his current reception from other modern superstars who have cultivated named tribes. Aaron Rourke is currently evaluated by iFANN but holds no placement in the Global Top 1,000 rankings or any scope-specific list. This evaluation reflects a status where significant public attention exists without reaching the threshold for a ranked position in the published hierarchy. The iFANN system confirms his prominence while noting the absence of a quantified global rank at this time.[编辑]

During his independent circuit days, Rourke performed under the ring name D'Angoleme before signing with WWE. He maintains a quirky digital presence, describing himself in his Instagram bio as Human vs Hamster. His billed hometown is listed variably as Sparkle City, a fictional location matching his aesthetic, or Long Island, depending on the promotion's requirements. In a defiant heel turn, he embraced the nickname Evil Gay, which became a staple of his character mythology during that era. Beyond the ring, Rourke lists multiple major independent organizations including GCW, wXw, and AEW as part of his extensive resume prior to his WWE tenure. A defining moment in his career occurred in March 2026 when he defeated Jackson Drake to become the first openly LGBTQ+ male professional wrestler to win a singles title in WWE history. This victory was widely celebrated as a watershed moment for diversity in sports entertainment. Later that year, he successfully defended the championship against Tristan Angels in May and faced Max Abrams in June, further solidifying his reputation as a top-tier performer. By August 2026, he was featured in high-profile multi-man matches, signaling his rapid ascent within the corporate structure.[编辑]
