Andy Bell

他与 Oasis 合作的第一张录音室专辑是同年发行的《Standing on the Shoulder of Giants》。Bell 很快证明了自己在贝斯演奏之外的价值：他为乐队随后的专辑贡献了创作，包括《Heathen Chemistry》（2002）、《Don't Believe the Truth》（2005）和《Dig Out Your Soul》（2008）。他的歌曲《A Bell Will Ring》和《Keep the Dream Alive》成为粉丝最爱。 该乐队发行了两张专辑《Different Gear, Still Speeding》（2011）和《BE》（2013），于 2014 年解散。 回归专辑《Weather Diaries》（2017）、《This Is Not a Safe Place》（2019）和《Interplay》（2024）广受好评。Bell 还以个人专辑《The View from Halfway Down》（2020）和名为 GLOK 的电子音乐副项目开启了个人生涯，后者发行了专辑《GLOK》（2019）和《Patterns》（2024）。2023 年，他加入了超级乐队 Mantra of the Cosmos，与 Shaun Ryder 和 Bez 合作。

Andy Bell commands a devoted following that bridges the distinct eras of British guitar music, uniting adherents of the shoegaze movement with devotees of Britpop. Unlike the massive, often polarized fanbases surrounding his bandmates in Oasis, Bell's supporters operate as a protective coalition within the broader communities of Ride and Oasis fans. This audience is characterized by a persistent narrative of under-appreciation, frequently discussing how Bell remains overlooked in favor of the Gallagher brothers despite his tenure as a founding member of Ride and a decade-long bassist for Oasis. While no formal moniker exists for this collective, the community actively rallies around his versatility, celebrating his transition from guitarist to bassist and his continued output as a solo artist and electronic producer under the alias GLOK. Fan discourse often centers on his quiet professionalism and the specific sentiment that he deserves greater recognition for his songwriting contributions to Oasis's later albums. The announcement of the 2025 reunion tour generated significant engagement among these fans, who viewed his inclusion as a validation of his legacy. Despite the lack of organized campaigns or named fandoms, the digital footprint of his supporters remains active, tracking his social media updates and expressing solidarity against the perception that he is ignored. iFANN has evaluated Andy Bell's global standing based on current consumption signals and media coverage. He currently holds no placement in the Global Top 1,000 rankings. Consequently, he does not appear on any scope-specific lists such as the Top 100 musicians or regional charts at this time.[编辑]

Andy Bell learned to play bass specifically to join Oasis, practicing intensively for weeks before his audition. Although left-handed, he plays right-handed guitars. His electronic alias GLOK is an anagram of 'klog,' the Welsh word for 'bell.' He co-wrote the Oasis B-side 'The Quiet Ones' with Noel Gallagher and recorded his solo album The View from Halfway Down during the COVID-19 lockdown. Bell was briefly considered as a potential replacement guitarist for The Verve in the late 1990s and bears a tattoo of the Ride logo on his arm. He has never been involved in the public feuds that characterized Oasis's later years, maintaining a reputation as the quiet one. A widely retold story from 1999 details how he joined Oasis as a guitarist turned bassist after Paul McGuigan's departure, a move that cemented his status as a versatile survivor in the British rock scene. Fans also recall the controversy surrounding the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction where errors regarding the lineup were reportedly corrected. Another defining moment occurred in May 2025 when Bell confirmed his place in the reunited Oasis lineup, a decision met with enthusiasm by supporters who had long hoped for his return. He has approximately 85,000 Instagram followers, 120,000 on X (shared with Beady Eye), 50,000 on Facebook, and 15,000 YouTube subscribers. Ride's Nowhere is frequently listed in top shoegaze album rankings by Pitchfork and NME. Bell has not won any major individual awards, though Oasis won NME and Q awards collectively.[编辑]

他还与Shaun Ryder和Bez在超级乐队Mantra of the Cosmos中合作过。

Per iFANN's editorial analysis, Andy Bell's net worth stands at $18 Million as of 2026. The bulk of this wealth originates from his decade-long tenure with Oasis, where he earned a salary as a band member and received songwriting royalties for tracks like 'A Bell Will Ring' and 'Keep the Dream Alive.' The Oasis reunion tour, which began in 2025 and continues into 2026, has been a major financial boost, with Bell's share estimated at $3–5 million from the tour alone. He also earns ongoing royalties from Ride's catalog, particularly from Nowhere, which remains a streaming and vinyl staple, estimated at $100,000–200,000 per year. His solo and GLOK releases generate modest income through independent labels. Real estate holdings, including a home in London and property in Wales, add an estimated $2–3 million to his net worth. Songwriting royalties from Oasis B-sides and other credits generate an estimated $50,000–100,000 annually. Bell's financial trajectory has been steady, with the reunion tour significantly increasing his earnings in recent years. He also earns from merchandise licensing for Ride and Oasis.[编辑]
