Como 1907

Como 1907 is an Italian professional football club based in Como, Lombardy. Founded in 1907 as Como Foot-Ball Club, the team plays in royal blue and has called the 13,602-capacity Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia home since 1928. After years of financial struggles and two bankruptcies, the club was rescued in 2019 by the Hartono brothers, Robert Budi Hartono and Michael Bambang Hartono, through their Djarum Group. The Hartonos are the richest club owners in Italian football, ranked among Forbes' wealthiest. Minority shareholders include head coach Cesc Fàbregas and former footballer Thierry Henry, adding star power to the boardroom.

The club's history includes early top-flight stints in the 1910s and a dominant 1930-31 season under Gedeon Lukács, where Como went unbeaten in the Prima Divisione, scoring 90 goals in 32 matches. But the 2000s brought consecutive relegations and bankruptcy in 2004, forcing a restart in Serie D. A second bankruptcy in 2016 led to another re-foundation in 2017. Under the Hartonos' ownership, Como returned to Serie B and earned promotion to Serie A in 2024 for the first time in 21 years. Como 1907 was founded in 1907 as Como Foot-Ball Club. The club reached the top flight for the first time in the 1910s and enjoyed a remarkable 1930-31 season under Hungarian coach Gedeon Lukács, going unbeaten in the Prima Divisione with 90 goals in 32 matches. The 1980s marked the club's most consistent period in Serie A, culminating in a 9th-place finish in 1984-85 under Ottavio Bianchi, the club's best-ever league position. Financial troubles began in the early 2000s: three relegations in four years sent the club from Serie A to Serie C2, and bankruptcy in 2004 forced a restart in Serie D. A second bankruptcy in 2016 led to another re-foundation as Como 1907 in 2017.

The turning point came in 2019 when Indonesian billionaires Robert Budi Hartono and Michael Bambang Hartono, through their Djarum Group, acquired the club. Cesc Fàbregas joined as a player in 2022 and later became a minority shareholder and assistant coach, taking over as head coach in November 2024. Thierry Henry also became a minority shareholder. The club's resurgence saw promotion to Serie B in 2021 and then to Serie A in 2024, secured with a 2nd-place finish in Serie B.
