Dane Cook

Cook 的电影生涯包括在 cult 经典如《Mystery Men》（1999）和《Waiting...》（2005）中的配角，以及喜剧片如《Employee of the Month》（2006）、《Good Luck Chuck》（2007）和《My Best Friend's Girl》（2008）中的主角。他还在《Mr. Brooks》（2007）和《Dan in Real Life》（2007）中扮演了戏剧角色。

Cook 的脱口秀成功包括五张喜剧专辑：《Harmful If Swallowed》（2003）、《Retaliation》（2005）、《Vicious Circle》（2006）、《Rough Around the Edges: Live from Madison Square Garden》（2007）和《Isolated Incident》（2009）。

他主演了电影《Employee of the Month》（2006），随后在 2007 年出演了《Good Luck Chuck》、《Mr. Brooks》和《Dan in Real Life》。他于 2007 年发行了 DVD 特别节目《Rough Around the Edges: Live from Madison Square Garden》，并于 2009 年在 Comedy Central 上播出了《Isolated Incident》。

The Dane Train is real, and it has been rolling since before most comedians knew what a hashtag was. Dane Cook's fanbase carries that name, a moniker Cook himself uses, as when he tweeted in August 2025 that “The Dane Train is back on the track and ready to roll.” It's a fitting label for a following that helped make him one of the most commercially successful comedians of the 2000s, driving his 2005 album Retaliation to platinum status and packing arenas like Madison Square Garden, a rare feat for a comic at the time.

As of August 2026, iFANN's Global Fame Engine has evaluated Dane Cook, but he does not currently hold a placement in the published rankings, neither the Global Top 1,000 nor any Top-100 scope list. That's an absence, not a judgment; his fame remains substantial, built on decades of touring, film roles, and a direct-to-fan connection that predates social media as we know it. Cook was a Myspace power user, a fact confirmed by platform co-founder Tom Anderson, who grouped him with Katy Perry and Taylor Swift as entertainers who truly understood the site's potential.

There's no formal fandom name beyond “The Dane Train,” and no documented large-scale fan campaigns like those seen in music fandoms. Instead, the loyalty shows in the raucous energy of live shows and the enduring inside jokes from his bits, a shared vocabulary that fans still trade online. Cook has fed that connection for years, personally engaging with fans early on and continuing via YouTube and Instagram. For a comedian who once seemed to be everywhere, the rankings may not list him now, but the train hasn't stopped.[编辑]

Dane Cook named his 2005 album Retaliation as a response to critics who said he wasn't funny. He has a brother named Larry who works as a police officer and often appears in his stand-up stories. In high school, he was voted “Most Likely to Be a Comedian.” Cook was an early adopter of MySpace for promoting his comedy, which helped him build a fan base before traditional media caught on. His comedy style is known for being highly physical and loud, often pacing the stage and using exaggerated gestures.

One of the most retold stories in modern comedy is his feud with Louis C.K., which was resolved in a 2011 episode of Louie where the two appeared together and made peace, a moment fans still cite as a legendary chapter in both careers. Another iconic stretch: his rise via MySpace in the mid-2000s, when he amassed millions of friends and used the platform to push Retaliation to platinum and make his special Vicious Circle a must-watch. And in 2012, a lawsuit from his half-siblings over family trust money became a turning point, shifting public narrative and marking a more complicated chapter in his story.[编辑]

As of 2026, iFANN's editorial team estimates Dane Cook's net worth at $12 million. That figure reflects a career built on stand-up comedy tours and album sales, with Retaliation going platinum and his record-breaking Madison Square Garden sell-out generating substantial revenue. Film roles in Employee of the Month, Good Luck Chuck, and the Planes franchise added significant income, as did voice acting and his early direct-to-fan marketing through his website and MySpace, which let him keep a larger share of profits. While he hasn't headlined major films recently, Cook continues to tour and release content on YouTube, maintaining a steady income stream.[编辑]
