《The Predator》（1992）成为他最成功的商业专辑，收录了热门单曲《It Was a Good Day》和《Check Yo Self》。

Ice Cube

The community surrounding Ice Cube is less a unified tribe and more a gathering of loyalists who have followed his career from the South Central streets to global stardom. While the supergroup Mount Westmore brought together titans like Snoop Dogg, E-40, and Too Short for historic collaborations, it has not spawned a distinct, branded fandom name. Instead, the audience consists of West Coast hip-hop purists and fans of individual members who unite only when these legends converge on stage or in the studio. Their engagement is defined by reverence for legacy rather than organized digital campaigns or fan-funded projects, though recent legal battles involving fraud allegations have sparked intense discussion within these circles about the business side of their longevity. The group's mythology rests on the improbable reunion of four eras of G-funk, creating a narrative that feels both celebratory and complex as they navigate modern controversies while delivering live performances that draw massive crowds. This enduring connection is reflected in their standing across the entertainment landscape, where their influence remains undeniable decades after their first releases. According to the iFANN Global Fame Rankings, Ice Cube holds significant positions among the industry's elite. He is currently the 40th most famous person in Hip-Hop, a placement holding steady from the previous cycle.[编辑]

Ice Cube's iconic moniker was bestowed by his older brother Clyde, who jokingly threatened to put him in a freezer and pull him out as an ice cube. Before his music career exploded, he earned a two-year degree in architectural drafting from the Phoenix Institute of Technology in 1988, having originally begun writing raps after winning a typewriting challenge against a friend named Kiddo in ninth grade. His cousin Del tha Funky Homosapien is also a well-known rapper, and Cube has mentored artists including Yo-Yo and Mack 10 throughout his career. In a unique crossover moment, he recorded with a wide range of artists including Public Enemy, Red Hot Chili Peppers, George Clinton, David Bowie, and Trent Reznor. His son O'Shea Jackson Jr. played him in the 2015 biopic Straight Outta Compton. A legendary chapter in his recent history involves the formation of the supergroup Mount Westmore in late 2020. Fans still retell the story of how E-40 invited Cube to join forces with Snoop Dogg and Too Short, resulting in the release of the album Snoop Cube 40 $hort in April 2021. The viral success of the video for Big Subwoofer cemented their status as a legitimate powerhouse rather than a cash grab, even as recent legal dramas added a layer of complexity to their public narrative.[编辑]
