Lay commands a global stage where millions of viewers tune in for his choreography and production, yet his standing within the current iFANN rankings remains distinct. The iFANN Global Fame Engine has evaluated this artist, but he does not currently hold a placement in the published rankings (Global Top 1,000 or a Top-100 scope list). This absence from the leaderboard reflects a unique trajectory rather than a lack of influence, as his work bridges two massive entertainment markets simultaneously. His dedicated following is known as Xback, a community that mobilizes with remarkable precision across borders to support his solo endeavors. While the broader EXO-L fanbase often overlaps with his activities, Xback represents the specific, organized core that drives his individual chart performance and media presence. These fans coordinate streaming parties, fund large-scale birthday campaigns, and execute charity drives in his name, proving that his cultural impact persists independently of formal ranking metrics.[编辑]

Lay's nickname is Xing Tuo, and he represents the unicorn in EXO, symbolizing healing. He overcame stage fright through dedicated practice, a journey detailed in his autobiography Standing Firm at 24. Early on, he acted in We The People at age six and enjoys hobbies like gaming and dancing.

Legends surrounding his career often cite the 'King of Dance' mythos, rooted in his debut performance of 'Growl' at MAMA, where his technical precision immediately set him apart. A defining moment in his solo mythology occurred during the Ninja era, specifically the release of the music video for Ninja. Fans widely retell stories of Lay spending months in isolation perfecting the intricate martial arts choreography, blending Chinese mythology with futuristic concepts to cement his status as a serious artist. Another enduring tale involves the 'Lay Effect,' where extreme crowd reactions at concerts in Shanghai and Southeast Asia led to security interventions due to screaming fans and fainting incidents during emotional ballad performances.[编辑]

As things stand in 2026, Lay's net worth is estimated at $50 million per iFANN's editorial analysis. This figure is built from his music career, acting roles, and business ventures. He earns through solo album sales, like ROCK THE HEAVENLY PALACE in 2025, and endorsements with major brands. His studio, Zhang Yixing Entertainment, generates income from production deals and merchandising. Over recent years, his wealth has grown from live performances and streaming royalties, with past EXO activities adding to his earnings. Investments in real estate and appearances on variety shows have also contributed to his financial stability. Since leaving SM Entertainment in 2022, Lay has focused on independent projects, boosting his income through digital platforms and international tours. His role as a CEO and mentor has opened new revenue streams, including partnerships in China. This steady rise reflects his smart career choices and lasting popularity. Key financial milestones include his 2016 solo debut, which increased his profile and pay, and ongoing royalties from hits like Boom. By 2026, these efforts have solidified his finances, making him a role model for aspiring artists.[编辑]
