Within the collective fanbase known as ONCE, Mina commands a distinct reverence often framed by the monikers 'Queen' or 'Elegant Queen,' with her personal followers affectionately termed 'Myu.' This organized community frequently mobilizes for specific tributes, such as birthday billboards in Tokyo and Seoul, subway advertisements during MiSaMo promotions, and charity drives that reflect her public image of grace. While the group's official name remains ONCE, the individual devotion to Mina is characterized by campaigns celebrating her heritage and artistic growth, particularly following her 2023 debut with the sub-unit MiSaMo. Her quiet demeanor and signature 'heart eyes' foster a deep emotional connection, while recent narratives regarding her health struggles have only intensified the support she receives from fans who value her vulnerability.

Her standing in the global cultural landscape has solidified through consistent visibility across media channels, search patterns, and consumption metrics worldwide. Current assessments place her as the 55th most famous person in J-Pop / J-Rock, a position noted as a shift from the 49th rank in the previous cycle. These placements are recorded within the iFANN Global Fame Rankings, which track influence without detailing the underlying computational algorithms. The data reflects a sustained presence where her unique blend of ballet-influenced performance and reserved personality continues to generate significant attention.[编辑]

Mina trained in classical ballet for 11 years beginning at age three, a background that defines her fluid movement style. She holds the record for the shortest training period among TWICE members, joining the agency after just over a year and a half. In 2019, she formally renounced her United States citizenship to align with Japanese nationality laws. Her MBTI type is ISTP, and she prefers solitary hobbies like reading and gaming. She was discovered by a JYP Entertainment scout while shopping with her mother in Osaka at age 16.

A central story in her lore involves the origin of the 'Penguin' nickname, initially a playful joke from her members regarding her waddling walk, which evolved into a symbol of her graceful dance style. Another pivotal moment occurred in 2020 when she publicly disclosed her struggles with anxiety and mental health, shifting her perception from an aloof icon to a relatable figure. Fans also recall her 2023 role in the MiSaMo debut, where she transitioned from a main dancer to a central vocalist, and the 2026 controversy surrounding a see-through stage outfit that sparked debate on K-pop aesthetics.[编辑]

Heading into 2026, Mina's estimated net worth stands at $8 million, a figure derived from her earnings as a member of TWICE. Per iFANN's editorial analysis, this wealth accumulates primarily through album sales, concert tours, and merchandise tied to the group's activities, driven by TWICE's global popularity. She also benefits from endorsement deals, particularly those highlighting her ballet background, such as fashion and beauty campaigns that compensate her handsomely per appearance. Over recent years, her net worth has grown thanks to MiSaMo's 2023 debut and ongoing group projects, which have boosted her profile and opened more opportunities. While Mina does not have major business ventures listed, her financial growth reflects the typical path for K-pop idols, including performance fees and royalties from music streaming. Investments in endorsements and potential brand partnerships have added to her wealth, showing a gradual increase since TWICE's early days. This steady rise underscores how her talents in dance and performance continue to pay off in the industry.[编辑]
