Rodrigo Blaas

Rodrigo Blaas is a Spanish animator and director, an Emmy-winning Pixar veteran now running Madrid-based El Guiri Studios (Cartoon Brew). Pixar credits include Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, and WALL-E; he supervised Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia and directed the Star Wars: Visions short 'Sith' (Cartoon Brew). He directs and co-showruns the 2028 Warrior Cats series (DTVA News).[编辑]

Blaas is Spanish, born in Madrid. Self-taught, he studied body language and animal biomechanics rather than attending animation school. Early feature work included Blue Sky's Ice Age (2002) before Pixar hired him (IMDb). No birth date, schooling, or family detail is published.[编辑]

Pixar years covered Nemo through WALL-E (Cartoon Brew). His 2009 short Alma, written and directed by him, became a festival calling card. Trollhunters (2016) made him a supervising director under del Toro. 'Sith' for Visions Volume 2 (2023), via El Guiri, drew standout notices (StarWars.com). He contributed to Ozi: Voice of the Forest (2023) (IMDb). In 2026 Disney ordered Warrior Cats: The Prophecies Begin for 2028 with Blaas directing and co-showrunning (DTVA News). Correction: prior page versions dated 'Sith' to 2021/Volume 1; it is Volume 2 (2023).[编辑]

'Animation maestro' of the trade press: bold color, kinetic staging, European sensibility in franchise work (Variety). Online he is terse ('Dev mode' bio) with behind-the-scenes drops (Instagram).[编辑]
