Taika's Reason (Japanese: タイカの理性, Taika no Risei) is a manga series by Paru Itagaki, the creator of Beastars. It began serialization in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion in January 2025. The first collected volume was published on April 8, 2025, under the Shōnen Champion Comics imprint, containing 192 pages.

The story is set in a dystopian world where human emotions are suppressed by a governing system called the Rational Order. Taika, a young man who has always obeyed the system, starts experiencing intense, inexplicable feelings. As he investigates, he uncovers a conspiracy involving the government and the nature of consciousness itself. The series blends psychological drama with science fiction thriller elements, exploring free will versus determinism and the cost of conformity.

Early reviews praise the tense atmosphere and philosophical depth, with Itagaki's expressive artwork conveying subtle emotional shifts. The first volume debuted in the top 50 weekly Oricon charts, selling approximately 25,000 copies in its first week. As of mid-2025, total sales in Japan are around 50,000 copies. A second volume is scheduled for August 2025. No official English translation has been announced, but an English release is widely anticipated given the popularity of Itagaki's previous work.[编辑]
