Tiger Woods stands as the 1st most famous person in Golf, a position he holds steady within the iFANN Global Fame Rankings. This singular dominance places him at the very top of his sport's hierarchy, a status that reflects over two decades of unparalleled influence on the global stage. While his competitive era has evolved, his footprint remains the defining metric for professional golfers everywhere. The fanbase supporting this legacy does not carry a formal, organized name like "Tiger Nation" or similar monikers found in other entertainment sectors. Instead, his support consists of general sports enthusiasts and dedicated golf fans who follow his career through official channels and philanthropic initiatives. Unlike musicians with chart-pushing crews, Woods' audience engages primarily through the Tiger Woods Foundation, which delivers educational experiences to millions of young people rather than organizing fan-driven campaigns or rituals. His digital presence remains direct, with interactions channeled through his own verified accounts where he identifies simply as a father, golfer, and entrepreneur. There are no records of fan-funded projects or specific inside jokes that define a collective identity, suggesting a relationship built on shared respect for his achievements rather than a structured fandom culture.[编辑]

His given name Eldrick was selected by his mother to begin with 'E' for Earl and end with 'K' for Kultida, while his middle name Tont honors a traditional Thai naming custom. A prodigy from the start, he appeared on The Mike Douglas Show at age two putting alongside Bob Hope and graced the cover of Golf Digest when he was just five years old. He stands as one of only six men to complete the career Grand Slam and remains the youngest player to achieve this feat. His dominance is further cemented by the 2000 U.S. Open victory, which holds the record for the largest margin of victory in major championship history at 15 strokes. In recent lore, the story of his pre-shot finger-tapping ritual has gained new traction, with Woods revealing its origin as a grounding mechanism born from early struggles. Fans also recall the unveiling of Trout National, a $100 million golf course designed for MLB legend Mike Trout in August 2026, an event that highlighted his continued influence in high-end design. Another chapter in his modern narrative involves his candid discussion about physical decline, attributing knee issues to running rather than golf, a personal confession that resonated deeply with aging athletes everywhere. Recent stories from August 2026 also highlight his venture into entertainment with PopStroke locations, including a unique 18-hole mini-golf course in Orlando surrounded by sharks and waterfalls, showcasing his transition into entrepreneurship.[编辑]
