Xuxa

Xuxa Meneghel commands a vast, enduring presence across global media coverage, search activity, and consumption patterns that spans decades. According to the iFANN Global Fame Rankings, she holds the position of the 8th most famous person in Brazil, a standing that has held steady from the previous cycle. Her influence extends beyond national borders to secure her place as the 37th most famous person from Brazil, also holding steady, and the 27th most famous person in Latin America, likewise holding steady. These placements reflect a consistent trajectory within the iFANN framework. While her fanbase lacks a single formalized name like those found in modern pop movements, it is broadly identified through her title as the Queen of Children. This community is defined by generational loyalty rather than organized digital campaigns, with supporters engaging primarily through her massive social media following and the enduring ubiquity of her merchandise. The audience connects deeply with her persona, often celebrating her legacy annually, though no specific rituals or inside jokes are officially codified by the group.[编辑]

Maria da Graça Xuxa Meneghel was born in 1963 and adopted the nickname Xuxa from her older brother Bladimir during infancy. She legally changed her name in 1988 and maintains an allergy to meat and fish products. Her iconic television spaceship on Xou da Xuxa drew inspiration from Wilson Viana's Capitão AZA and Penelope Pitstop's vehicle in Wacky Races. Early entries in the Xuxa Só Para Baixinhos series featured Brazilian Portuguese versions of songs originally performed by the Wiggles. She acquired Italian citizenship in 2013. A persistent piece of celebrity lore involves her claim that Michael Jackson proposed marriage to her during a 2012 interview, a story fans continue to retell despite its contested nature. In July 2023, she revealed that her first sexual relationship was with football legend Pelé, adding a new dimension to her public history. Her cultural impact was further highlighted when she publicly endorsed Lula in the October 2022 elections, demonstrating political sway. Recent years have also seen critical re-examinations of her legacy, including a notable feature in The New York Times regarding apologies and reflections on her past image.[编辑]

This valuation reflects decades of lucrative television contracts with Rede Globo and other networks featuring programs such as Xou da Xuxa, Xuxa Park, and Planeta Xuxa. Her musical catalog includes between 30 and 50 million albums sold worldwide, with Xou da Xuxa 3 recognized as the best-selling album in Brazilian history. Earnings were further bolstered by film roles in productions like Xuxa e os Duendes and Xuxa Abracadabra. A comprehensive merchandise empire encompassing dolls, clothing, toys, and branded goods remains a central revenue stream managed through her production company, Xuxa Produções.
