Phil Collins

他的个人热门歌曲包括《In the Air Tonight》、《Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)》、《One More Night》、《Sussudio》和《Another Day in Paradise》。

他还为乔治·哈里森的《All Things Must Pass》打鼓。

由此产生的专辑《A Trick of the Tail》（1976年）在英国排名第三。 他主演了电影《Buster》（1988年），并发行了《...But Seriously》（1989年），其中包括获得格莱美奖的《Another Day in Paradise》。 他重新加入创世纪乐队参加了Turn It On Again巡演（2007年）和最后的巡演The Last Domino?（2021–2022年）。

Phil Collins commands a global presence that spans decades of musical evolution, from the progressive rock stages of the 1970s to the pop dominance of the 1980s and beyond. This enduring reach places him within the upper echelons of international recognition according to the iFANN Global Fame Rankings. Current data indicates he is the 155th most famous person in the world, a position holding steady from the previous cycle. Within his native United Kingdom, he ranks as the 50th most famous person in United Kingdom, while specifically among those born there, he stands as the 23rd most famous person from United Kingdom. His influence in the music industry remains particularly potent, ranking him the 15th most famous person in Rock & Indie. These placements reflect a consistent level of attention across media coverage, search activity, and consumption patterns worldwide. Regarding his audience, extensive research confirms no formal or official name exists for Phil Collins's fanbase; they are generally identified simply as fans of the artist or his former band Genesis, though their collective influence has been significant enough to drive major cultural milestones such as inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.[编辑]

Phil Collins was a childhood friend of Jack Wild, who portrayed the Artful Dodger in the 1968 film Oliver!, and he later played drums on George Harrison's All Things Must Pass. His signature gated-reverb drum sound was discovered accidentally by engineer Hugh Padgham while working on Peter Gabriel's third solo album. Collins named Eric Clapton as his favorite guitarist, who performed on the singles If Leaving Me Is Easy and I Wish It Would Rain Down. When critics accused him of hypocrisy for singing about homelessness while being a millionaire, Collins donated double the amount fans had collected for homeless charities at his concerts. His son Nicholas is also a drummer and has performed alongside him at live concerts.

A pivotal moment in rock history occurred when Collins took over the main microphone during a Genesis concert in Canada, marking his transition from drummer to lead vocalist following Peter Gabriel's departure. This event initiated a shift from progressive rock to a more pop-oriented sound that would define his career. During the Invisible Man era between 1982 and 1990, Collins achieved massive commercial dominance, selling over 100 million records with Genesis alone. In 2026, he was officially announced as an inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, joining peers like Oasis and Wu-Tang Clan, adding a new chapter to his legacy after previously being inducted with Genesis in 2010.[编辑]

iFANN currently estimates Phil Collins's net worth at $320 Million as of 2026. His wealth derives from record sales exceeding 150 million solo copies worldwide, touring revenue where the 2007 Genesis tour grossed over $130 million and the 2021–2022 tour generated $100 million, and publishing royalties. In 2021, he sold his songwriting catalog to Concord Music Group for over $200 million, representing one of the largest catalog sales by a British artist. He continues to earn ongoing royalties from Disney's Tarzan soundtrack. His real estate portfolio includes a Miami mansion and properties in Switzerland. Divorce settlements cost him an estimated £17 million to Jill Tavelman and £25 million to Orianne Cevey, though catalog sales have offset these financial losses.[编辑]

Collins 赢得了八项格莱美奖，包括凭借《No Jacket Required》（1985）获得年度专辑奖和凭借《Another Day in Paradise》（1989）获得年度唱片奖。他凭借《You'll Be in My Heart》（1999）获得奥斯卡最佳原创歌曲奖。
